<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The publication reflects the results of research on economic security issues at the level of administrative center of the subject of the Russian Federation in the context of the development of the “smart city” system. Cutting-edge technologies are becoming a powerful engine of transformation, including the energy sector. Development of smart cities and digitalization of services require reorganization of the energy business, search of new innovative opportunities and the development of new strategies, the final result of which will be the creation of new business models for energy suppliers. As a result of largescale statistics and practical cases analysis the main (specific) smart risks, smart challenges and smart threats for the economic security system of the largest city have been classified, recommendations to modify existing business models for Russian energetic industry have been offered.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>вызовы</kwd><kwd>городская инфраструктура</kwd><kwd>риски</kwd><kwd>умная энергетика</kwd><kwd>умный город</kwd><kwd>цифровая трансформация</kwd><kwd>цифровая энергетическая платформа</kwd><kwd>экономическая безопасность</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>challenges</kwd><kwd>digital energy platform</kwd><kwd>digital transformation</kwd><kwd>economic security</kwd><kwd>risks</kwd><kwd>smart city</kwd><kwd>smart energy</kwd><kwd>urban infrastructure</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Материал для публикации был исследован в рамках международного российско-швейцарского образовательного проекта Smart Citizens.</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The material for publication was studied within the framework of the international Russian-Swiss educational project “Smart Citizens“</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Указ Президента Российской Федерации от 13.05.2017 № 208 «О Стратегии экономической безопасности Российской Федерации на период до 2030 года» // СПС «КонсультантПлюс» [Электронный ресурс]. – Режим доступа:http://www.consultant.ru/document/cons_doc_LAW_216629/ (дата обращения: 16.05.2020).</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">Ukaz Prezidenta Rossiiskoi Federatsii ot 13.05.2017 No. 208 “O Strategii ekonomicheskoi bezopasnosti Rossiiskoi Federatsii do 2030 goda” [Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the Strategy of Economic Security of the Russian Federation until 2030” No. 208, dated on May 13, 2017].
