Актуальность выбранной темы исследования обусловлена тем фактом, что сегодня все больше организаций независимо от рода деятельности применяют методы и подходы проектного управления для достижения поставленных целей. Ключом к успешной реализации проекта являются квалифицированный руководитель и его команда. Однако для управления проектами в разных отраслях могут потребоваться разные инструменты, навыки и умения. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что, несмотря на обилие литературы по теме управления проектами, существует относительно немного работ, посвященных их анализу с точки зрения различий требований к компетенциям в государственном и коммерческом секторах. Целью настоящего исследования, построенного на анализе стандартов и научной литературы, выступает выявление необходимых компетенций проектного руководителя, их потенциальных различий и сходств в коммерческих и государственных организациях. Компетенции были разделены на профессиональные, личностные и прикладные. Полученные результаты упорядочивают и углубляют теоретические представления о требуемых компетенциях руководителя проекта исходя из отрасли деятельности организации. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы при разработке локальных (корпоративных) стандартов по управлению проектами, при формировании программ обучения руководителей и наборе кадров

The relevance of the chosen topic of this study is due to the fact that today more and more organisations, regardless of their type of activity, use methods and approaches of project management to achieve their goals. The key to successful project implementation are a qualified project manager and their team. However, project management in different industries may require different tools, skills, and abilities. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the fact that despite the abundance of literature on the topic of project management, there are relatively few works devoted to their analysis in terms of differences in competence requirements in the public and commercial sectors. The purpose of this study, based on the analysis of standards and scientific literature, is to identify the necessary competencies of the project manager, their potential differences and similarities in commercial and government organisations. The competencies are divided into professional, personal, and applied ones. The results obtained streamline and deepen the theoretical understanding of the required competencies of the project manager based on the field of activity of the organisation. The results of the research can be used in the development of local (corporate) standards for project management, in the formation of training programmes for project managers and in recruitment of personnel.
