<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The study researches teenager`s behavior in conflict situations, in romantic relationships and depending on their level of emotional intelligence (EI). The models of romantic relationships, approaches to studying conflicts and EI are considered. </p><p>The purpose of the study is to identify the features of choosing behavior strategies and their outcomes among teenagers with different EI levels. The objectives include determining EI levels and conflict resolution styles, conducting regression analysis to assess EI’s influence on behavior choices, and analyzing behavioral patterns in conflicts with romantic partners among adolescents with varying EI. </p><p>Authors used such methods as: the “EmIn” test by D. V. Lusin and the “Thomas-Kilmann” (adaptation of N. V. Shangina), with semi-structured interview. The sample consisted of 115 teenagers aged 11-17 who had romantic relationships at the time of the study. 17 teenagers were participated in interview. </p><p>The results showed that EI levels influence conflict behavior strategies: teenagers with high EI tend to cooperate and better manage their emotions, while teens with low EI often avoid conflicts. Managing others’ emotions is connected with a competitive strategy, whereas a lack of this skill is connected with a compliance.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Подростковый возраст</kwd><kwd>эмоции</kwd><kwd>эмоциональный интеллект</kwd><kwd>конфликты</kwd><kwd>разрешение конфликтов</kwd><kwd>стратегии поведения в конфликте</kwd><kwd>романтические отношения</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Teenagers</kwd><kwd>emotions</kwd><kwd>emotional intelligence</kwd><kwd>conflicts</kwd><kwd>conflict resolution</kwd><kwd>conflict mode instruments</kwd><kwd>romantic relationships</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Андреева, И.
