Strategies for mono-specialised industrial regions diversification through innovative startups

Abstract
In today’s environment, the process of implementing a strategy to diversify mono-specialized industrial regions through innovative startups is of particular importance for the development of regional socio-economic systems. This strategy contributes to the more successful development of regional economic systems. When forming this strategy, diversification of mono-specialized industrial regions helps identify areas for investment attractiveness of regional economic systems. This process is not straightforward, and a number of areas and factors are identified that create significant difficulties and issues relat ed to the process of implementing innovative mechanisms through startups aimed at effective development of regional systems, in conjunction with attracting investors. The strategy for diversifying mono-specialized industrial regions through innovative startups and their implementation in regional systems in Russia has been assessed. The study conclusion has been formulated based on the works of the scientists studying the issue under consideration. It has been noted that the process of implementing mono-specialized indus trial regions through innovative startups for developing regional economic systems at the present stage is entering a new stage, contributing to their effective growth.
