https://doi.org/10.26425/1816-4277-2026-4-122-131

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze regional systems for cleaning and disposing of solid household waste in the residential sector. The research paper applies methods of analyzing garbage collection technologies in residential areas in Russia regions, comparing waste management approaches in foreign countries and the main technological solutions used to optimize waste management processes.

The role of waste disposal in Russia is studied. Regional systems of cleaning and disposal of solid household waste in the residential sector are analyzed. The foreign experience of waste disposal in the residential sector is reviewed, and attention is focused on the need to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative measures, including within the framework of program-oriented regulation on the organization of separate waste collection in Russia. The importance of the integrated formation of not only infrastructure, but also facilities for managing solid household waste in the residential sector as a measure to reduce environmental risks at the regional level is substantiated.

The research paper is of an overview nature and is focused on identifying issues in the regional system of cleaning and disposal of solid household waste.
