Abstract
The theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the fundamental components of the evolutionary nature of the innovation-oriented transformation of the national economy, as well as the essence of identifying higher school trends as a driver and a basic institution for the reproduction of the intellectual potential of the national economy - are considered. Conceptual and methodological aspects of research of the role of intensification of intellectual potential reproduction in the process of transformation of the national economy are presented.
