Abstract

Based on the analysis of available literature sources on the issue of developing a modern effective land management system in agriculture, the most common disadvantages and factors of inefficient use of agricultural land have been identified. Various theoretical aspects and practical results of land use in the agricultural sector of the agro-industrial complex have been discussed. Much attention has been paid to the analysis of the terminology used, objective economic laws, and scientific foundations of forming and applying management system for the use of land resources. The existing shortcomings of management and inefficient use of agricultural land have been noted, as well as measures to improve management bodies and the system of effective use of land resources in agriculture. There is a need to further deepen the theoretical foundations of the main provisions of agricultural land use and improve land relations in the agro-food complex, ensure continuous monitoring of land using modern means of remote aerospace observation and analysis of the data obtained, and improve the land management system in order to ensure effective management of land resources through (on the basis of) more accurate accounting and assessing land and planning rational land use. It is necessary to strengthen the regional and municipal level of land management, including with a view to further involve unused land in the turnover.
