Abstract

In the context of the digital transformation of modern global economy, global digital platforms are becoming key drivers of economic growth in countries. A comprehensive analysis of the international competitiveness of global digital platforms has been carried out, the factors determining it have been identified, and modern trends affecting the balance of power in the global market have been studied. An overview of classical and modern theories of international competitiveness and the possibility of their application in the study of global digital platforms has been presented. Traditional competitiveness indicators are giving way to new and specific factors such as the network effect, scalability, the use of artificial intelligence technologies, and big data. Special attention has been paid to modern challenges and trends, including the tightening of regulatory policies of states in the spheres of antimonopoly regulation and data protection, the growth of digital sovereignty, and digital spaces regionalization. The impact of these factors on global digital platforms adaptation to their business models and strategies for entering new foreign markets has been analyzed. Based on the study results, it has been concluded that the sustainable competitiveness of global digital platforms in modern world is determined not only by technological superiority, but also by the ability to effectively interact with market regulators and quickly adapt to a rapidly changing geopolitical and legal environment.
