DIGITALIZATION AS A DRIVER OF ECONOMIC INTEGRATION OF THE COUNTRIES OF THE EURASIAN ECONOMIC UNION

Abstract

 The article reveals the impact of digitalization on the development of the Eurasian economic integration, and determines its impact on the economic growth and competitiveness of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The purpose of the study is to analyse the development of digitalization processes in the countries of the EAEU. The key areas of digitalization of the  states – members of the EAEU are examined. The digital policy of the EAEU and Russia’s contribution is shown, and the digital potential of Russia and the EAEU, risks and prospects of digitalization are defined. The measures to strengthen Russia’s digital integration into the EAEU are suggested. The perspective directions of the EAEU development in the digital economy are considered. The author’s conclusion that digitalization plays the role of a driver of economic integration is formulated.
