Abstract

In the context of the rapid development of the audiovisual industry, the search for new tools for evaluating audiovisual works (hereinafter referred to as AVW) is becoming increasingly important. When evaluating such projects, as a rule, they focus on several types of it, based on the goals of creating audiovisual works: scenario, director and producer’s expertise. To determine the success of a project at the stage of its creation, it is necessary to evaluate it. For this purpose, criteria are used to evaluate the project in order to understand its quality and the likely audience and financial success. The study presents a universal methodology developed by the authors for conducting a comprehensive examination of audiovisual works at the pre-project stage, considering the criteria for evaluating AVW formed by experts and determining the area of their viability. The methodology developed by the authors for evaluating audiovisual works can be supplemented by a methodology for assessing their competitiveness based on the technology of deploying elements of AVW competitiveness, considering the priority requests of viewers. Such deployment represents a systematic approach to the creation of AVW, which in the future will allow us to consider the wishes of viewers by translating them into consumer characteristics of such a work at different stages of its creation. Such a technology requires the construction of a “house of competitiveness”, which will reflect the main elements presented in this study.

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the study of the concept of performance marketing as a new direction in digital marketing focused on achieving specific and measurable results. The aims of the research are to develop and theoretically substantiate the performance marketing as an independent approach as well as to define its role in modern marketing practices. The study addresses the following objectives: identifying the key features and advantages of the performance marketing; analysing its impact on the strategic development of companies; investigating methodologies to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns (including CPC (сost per сlick) and CPA (cost per action); exploring approaches to optimise marketing investments with the help of unit economics. The concept of the performance marketing is introduced, and its principles are formulated that focus not only on technological aspects but also on analytical and managerial approaches which facilitate the achievement of marketing goals and objectives related to management strategies of the marketing investments. This creates conditions for the development of concepts and models applicable in various contexts, regardless of technologies or platforms used, and makes the theoretical conclusions both universal and significant for the further development of marketing theory. The proposed principles emphasise controllability and adaptability of processes, taking the research beyond the analysis of specific technologies or tools and directing it towards the study of strategies for managing the marketing investments.

Abstract

Since 2013, renewable energy has been actively developing in the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as RF, Russia) with the help of the programme for support of the renewable energy sources (hereinafter referred to as RES) – CSA RES 1.0 (CSA – capacity supply agreement). The second stage will start in 2025, in connection with which the article presents the intermediate results of the programme. It is noted that, despite the successes in the basic elements of the industry, a number of systemic problems and unaccounted factors can become a problem for its further effective development and lead to the development of an independent industry from state support and subsidies. The objective of the study is an analysis of the current tasks and prospects of the RES field. Particular attention is paid to the following issues: integrating the RES in the existing energy system, increasing generation efficiency, expanding the list of relevant types of RES and prospects for the development of microgeneration against the background of a growing labour shortage. An analysis of the listed problems allows us to conclude that it is necessary to solve some of them – systemic ones, those that are beyond the scope of the industry. One of the key conditions for the formation of a self-sufficient renewable energy sector in the RF is the need for a comprehensive provision that complies with current global trends, its specifics and a wide range of socio-economic factors in Russia.

Abstract

With the development of digital technologies and increase in the number of online transactions, electronic means of payment (hereinafter referred to as EMP) are becoming more in demand. They offer convenience, security, and efficiency, which makes them attractive to both private users and businesses. The issues of regulation of innovation in the sphere of financial technologies, and adoption of digital currencies by central banks highlight the importance of this topic. Thus, the relevance of studying the EMP is determined by their role in the formation of a universal payment environment that unites buyers and sellers of goods and services. The EMP are an important component of a market economy, and their importance constantly increases. Studying them allows us to assess the degree of impact of this phenomena on the economy, life, and activities of people. In this study, the main types of the EMP are considered, and their main advantages and disadvantages are characterised. An overview of the key regulations governing various aspects of noncash payments has been conducted. The information about payments in electronic form as well as their number in the territorial context, etc. are analysed. In addition, according to the results of the study, measures necessary to improve the safety of using the EMP are proposed.

Abstract

The changed specifics of the Russian labour market dictate a number of new challenges for the reproduction of human capital. The article analyses the main barriers for the Russian Federation associated with a shortage of labour in the labour market: exhaustion of the labour reserve, mismatch of the sectoral balance of personnel of the target model of the economy, shadow employment, low labour productivity, mismatch of labour supply to the demands of the economy, the formation of demand new skills and competencies, the territorial discrepancy between supply and demand in the labour market. The main trends related to the emerging crisis in the Russian labour market are identified. Statistical data allow us to conclude that the pace of personnel starvation is increasing and cause the presence of the above barriers. At the same time, the authors make proposals to overcome the identified difficulties and also describe possible ways to meet the needs of the country’s economy for qualified personnel by increasing labour productivity, implementing effective measures to reduce the level of shadow employment, additional involvement in employment of the population with an emphasis on categories less involved in the country’s economy: youth, people with disabilities physically disabled, unemployed pensioners.

Abstract

The current level of public administration involves the use of legal system as the only legitimate means of influencing participants in economic relations. By forming the legal system that acts as institutional environment for the national economy, the state determines the directions of economic development, sets incentives and restrictions for the development of certain sectors of the economy. The quality of the environment depends on the level of competence of government bodies and consideration in the process of creating formal rules which determine the directions of the economic development of objective economic laws. The purposes of the study are to elaborate criteria that the institutional environment should meet in order to act as a formal basis for sustainability of the economic system, and to justify the need to bring economics and law closer together in the process of economic analysis. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of a systemic connection between economic and legal sciences within the framework of economic analysis of the processes of development of the social system, which can have a negative impact on its reliability, and, as a consequence, on the effectiveness of the economic policy formulated by the state. The work establishes dependence of the quality of the institutional environment on the quality of the institutional structure, shows individual endogenous factors that negatively impact its effectiveness, and defines the directions for the formation of the institutional environment of the national economy, the implementation of which will achieve compliance with the goals and results of public administration of the economy. The study contributes to the development of institutionalism, promotes the creation of a unified institutional economic theory and conditions for its application for conducting an interdisciplinary economic analysis of various aspects of the development of Russian society as a complex social system.

Abstract

The study analyses indicators of standard of living and human potential in the Aland Islands for the period from 2000 to the present. The purposes of the work are to determine changes in the standard of living of citizens during the analysed period and to identify factors influencing these changes. Of interest is the archipelago which is part of Finland, but has the status of an autonomous region, where the majority of the population are native Swedish speakers. An analysis of such indicators as personal income of citizens, wage level, social spending on pensions and benefits, unemployment rate, and gross domestic product per capita has been conducted. Due to the fact that the Islands have an autonomous tax system with lower tax rates than in mainland Finland, an analysis of tax burden on the personal income of the citizens has been conducted. Based on its results, it is revealed that during the period under review, the standard of living of the population was negatively affected by the global financial crises of 2008 and 2014 as well as the period of restrictive measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, the pandemic had a stronger impact than the financial crises, but it was short-term, and the standard of living of the population recovered to its previous level. The impact of global economic crises was less noticeable, but long-term, and therefore the standard of living of the citizens has not yet returned to pre-crisis levels.

Abstract

The article examines Russian export under the conditions of sanctions pressure, which is necessary in order to update existing measures and tools for its development and creation of the new ones. Based on the analysis of statistical data for 2022–2023, dynamics of the main export indicators is estimated, key results and trends in the development of the domestic export are highlighted. It has been established that these are ambiguous impact of the sanctions, transition to a non-resource export model, orientation of raw materials and non-resource exports to friendly and (or) neutral countries. It is determined that under the sanctions pressure, the Russian export has a wide potential, which can be most quickly and effectively disclosed with active and updated state support. Problematic issues of export transformation are noted: lack of a developed transport and logistics infrastructure, full-scale assistance to exporters in new markets, insufficient assistance to small and medium-sized enterprises in the export sector. As recommendations, it is proposed to stimulate the entry of Russian companies into the world markets of high value-added goods, continue increasing the share of non-primary non-energy export, expand the geography of supplies to friendly and (or) neutral countries while diversifying the commodity structure of the export.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of financial consulting as a tool for ensuring the economic security of an enterprise. The logic of achieving the purpose of the article is based on the consideration of the following chain of theories: meta-theory of economic order, intertheory of economic security, substantive theory of industry markets (in the field of financial consulting). This approach has allowed both to focus on the consistent hierarchical transformation of the research subject, and to substantiate the relationship between financial consulting and economic security, financial consulting and marketing (through a complex of innovative marketing). For this purpose, the research has successfully implemented methods of analysis and synthesis (to identify the components of the meta-theory of economic order and its conceptual provisions), the method of logical synthesis (to substantiate individual substantive theories, the provisions of which affect the development of financial consulting and, as a result, economic security), abstraction and deduction (to substantiate financial consulting tools and considering them as possible components of the mechanism for ensuring economic security). The logical conclusion of the article, which aggregates the consideration of financial consulting as a mechanism for ensuring economic security, is the proposal to create regional centers for its development. Based on this, it is justified that such centers will, at a minimum, contribute to improving the consulting climate by forming an effective system of legal regulation of consulting activities, activating the activities of professional associations of  consultants, and creating a unified information system about consulting firms.

Abstract

The article considers the problem of the occurrence of implicit costs for logistics companies during the tender placement of orders using the example of courier services. All actions of the logistics companies are presented in the form of diagrams of processes and decomposed subprocesses using the tools of the process approach, namely, grapho-analytical methods. Thus, discrete event processes are displayed in the IDEF0 (Integrated Definition) notation. An analysis of subprocesses is conducted and a cost concentration zone with signs of implication is identified. The negative impact of the implication on the usefulness for logistics companies of participating in the tender placement of orders is determined. In the article, implicit costs are understood as transaction and opportunity costs that arise during the implementation of the tender process of placing an order of logistics companies on electronic platforms. The work also analyses patterns and dynamics of these two type of costs when economic agents and counterparties enter into relationships. At the same time, it is necessary to fulfill the tasks of preserving the reputation of the customer agent, reducing the risk of losing the supplier agent, and concluding a contract on favourable terms. To solve the objectives set in the article, theoretical aspects based on new trends in understanding the fundamentals of institutional economics are used.

Abstract

The article presents accounting and legal features of financial reporting formation under the conditions of ensuring criteria for reliability and completeness of  information support. Legal aspects aimed at comprehensive implementation of accounting principles and disclosure in financial statements are considered. Emphasis is placed on important decisions by the legislative authorities of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as RF) to counter fraudulent practices with financial reports. The authors have taken as a basis the positive experience of implementing Article 18 of Federal Law No. 402-FZ dated December 6, 2011. The specifics of legal norms and their levels of regularity influencing economic security when disclosing accounting (financial) information involved in the Action Plan until 2030, approved by Order No. 53 of the Ministry of Finance of the RF dated February 18, 2023, are analysed. A graphical model of processes and objects affecting economic security in the context of interaction between legal peculiarities, regularities, and anti-fraud systems is proposed. An expert approach to assessing the impact of legal initiatives from the Action Plan on challenges to economic security has been substantiated, identifying four zones of expert attention. The nature of data distortion, including key instances of fraud, in the disclosure of financial statement information was examined. The research objective is to monitor accounting and legal features and levels of regularity regarding ensuring economic security and combating fraud by an economic entity when disclosing accounting (financial) information. The main results can serve as a theoretical foundation for developing a set of preventive measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of countering dishonest (fraudulent) actions and improving economic security.

Abstract

To reduce operational losses and maximise the value of their products, banks are implementing various management models, in particular those based on the lean approach. The use of digital solutions in the activities of financial organisations allows businesses to maintain and strengthen their competitiveness in the financial services market. The purpose of the article is to consider the specifics of the application of lean management methods in commercial banks as well as the possibilities of their optimisation with the help of artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as AI) technologies. On the basis of statistical data of the Bank of Russia, reporting documents of “Sber”, and data of the marketplace “Banki.ru”, the dynamics of changes in the methods of customer service of Russian banks over the last 5 years has been studied. Despite the increase in the number of remote services, the growth of operational costs is revealed. At the same time, customer satisfaction has barely grown, with the main reasons for dissatisfaction being quality and speed of service. Following the analysis of scientific and practical literature, the main categories of losses in banking business have been identified, as well as the directions of optimisation and increase of the efficiency of financial institutions through the application of the lean management approach. Specific consideration is given to the integration of the AI technologies and methods, including machine learning, natural language processing, and process mining, into the established lean practices. This study demonstrates the potential for these techniques to enhance the efficiency of the lean management procedures and directly contribute to business processes of a commercial bank.

Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the need to assess the scale of the deep and often unpredictable influence of epidemiological, economic and political factors on key demographic indicators. Assessment of the current state as well as prospects for the development of the demographic situation in the regions of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as RF, Russia) will allow timely identification of problems and development of measures to mitigate them, making sound strategic decisions in the interests of a particular region of the RF. The purpose of the study is to analyse and forecast the demographic situation in the regions of Russia. To achieve this goal, the article uses data visualisation methods, cluster and regression analysis, forecasting series with a structural shift. The results of the cluster analysis, indicating the territorial heterogeneity of the constituent entities of the RF in terms of demographic status, are used in an econometric model that makes it possible to assess the impact of a number of factors on mortality. In particular, it is found that population density, the proportion of the population over working age, that is, factors that, in turn, are associated with the consequences of coronavirus infection and its negative impact on the elderly population, have a significant impact on the overall mortality rate. The death toll forecast showed that the pandemic contributed more than 53 thousand deaths per month, including not only deaths from coronavirus infection, but also deaths indirectly related to the introduction of restrictions on planned hospitalisation, a drop in the standard of living of the population, etc. Mortality decreased to the level of mortality observed before the COVID-19 pandemic by mid-2023, but already in January 2025 the number of deaths may exceed 170 thousand people per month. Further studies are planned to model and forecast indicators of the demographic state of the regions of the RF based on various scenarios for the development of the epidemiological situation as well as considering the economic and foreign policy situations.

Abstract

The sociology of cinema is one of the most significant areas within the sociology of culture, since cinema and television (hereinafter referred to as TV) series are a mass and most accessible form of art. However, the degree of development of the problems of the sociology of cinema, especially in the theoretical context, remains insufficient given the social significance. One of the areas within which a successful study of cinema and TV series is possible is constructionism, which allows us to study narratives, images, and the transformation of public opinion under the influence of cinema, and vice versa. In this case, the study of film characters is one of the most important parts of the study of cinema from the point of view of sociological theory. Therefore, the study implements the task of studying the development of the topic of representation of film characters from the point of view of social constructionism, and describes the results of a sociological survey devoted to the study of the perception of the characteristics of characters in fantasy films and TV series. Analysing the level of recognition and the content of students’ ideas about the characteristics of the characters, the author classifies them based on the severity of qualities. Based on the classification of the most frequently identified characteristics of characters in various groups, the typical positive and negative characteristics of antiheroes in the fantasy genre are determined. As a result, the author has come to the conclusion that the uniqueness of fantasy characters in general and antiheroes in particular lies in the fact that their characteristics are constituted of moral, strong-willed, intellectual and other qualities, unlike characters in other genres, where factors related to the possibility of association with social groups and external attributes are also important.

Abstract

The article analyses the importance of creating psychological and pedagogical classes and describes their main goals. One of the results of the functioning of psychological and pedagogical classes is the development of psychological and pedagogical culture, which is identified within the framework of pedagogical science. The researchers defined it as the psychological culture of the teacher, but the expansion of understanding and the transition to educational psychology will allow for the inclusion of research and work on the development of the psychological and pedagogical culture of high school students (at the stage of pre-professional pedagogical training). Teaching in a psychological and pedagogical classroom is an important element of the pre-professional training of future teachers. Psychological and pedagogical culture is a complex education, the system-forming component of which, according to the author, is a value-semantic one. An empirical study is conducted aimed at identifying its features. The study includes the use of the following diagnostic techniques: “The system of life meanings” by V.Yu. Kotlyakov; “The test of life orientations” by D.A. Leontiev, adapted by E.N. Osin and N.V. Kosheleva; “The questionnaire of value orientations” by Sh. Schwartz, adapted by N.M. Lebedeva; mini-essay “My attitude to the teaching profession”. It is possible to note the existing differences in the research groups. It is revealed that the value of kindness, universalism, and safety is more significant for students of psychological and pedagogical classes. In addition, they strive more to achieve a high status in life, and there is a personal assessment in their value attitude towards the teaching profession. It is planned to introduce a course of pedagogy and psychology into the work of psychological and pedagogical classes, based on the formation of another person’s values, adequate setting of goals in life and the development of a value attitude towards the teaching profession.

Abstract

This article examines the results of studying the specifics of coping strategies employed by men and women during divorce. Dissolution of marriage is a highly stressful life event with potential adverse impacts on both physical and psychological well-being, which contributes to the appearance of coping behaviour for further adaptation of an individual. When determining types of the coping strategies, we have chosen the classification of C.S. Carver, M.F. Scheier, and J.K. Weintraub, who are the developers of the questionnaire “Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced Inventory”. According to the results of the statistical data analysis using the Mann-Whitney U-test, it has been revealed that men tend to employ behavioural disengagement strategies more frequently, whereas women lean towards seeking emotional social support. Moreover, thematic analysis of semi-structured interviews unveils specifics of the coping behaviour at individual level and additional coping strategy, notably non-religious spiritual practices that necessitates further empirical validation. Additionally, the study observes that psychological experience of the divorce situation is most intense in the first two years, and the behaviour is aimed at accepting the situation and coping with distress. These features should be considered in practical work with people who are divorced.
